Earlier today at the Norris Student Center at Northwestern University, there was a challenging question that came about. There was an advertised "Indian Buffet" for $6.50. I decided to purchase this buffet because $6.50 is what I would spend at the cafeteria anyway and the buffet is all you can eat I'm assuming. When I get to the end of the food line, I have all my food on my plate and I ask "Do we just come back up for more?" My excitement was quickly extinguished as they said it was only one pass through that I could take... As a result, the Question arrises: What does actually Buffet imply?? Is it false advertising if a restaurant advertises "Buffet"and it's not all you can eat? Definitions from Dictionary.com and Google say that a Buffet is a meal where guests serve themselves, which implies being able to serve yourself many times I think. What do YOU think?
